JEWELLERY PHOTOGRAPHY

We are MEGA pros when it comes to product photography but we get especially excited by the challenge of shooting jewellery. With more shine, sparkle and accompanying pressure than nearly any other photographic niche, professional jewellery photography demands near-faultless results and it’s our job to make sure all our clients get just that.

A combination of studio trickery, post-production bling and more than 30 years of experience, our jewellery images will get your little gems standing out from the crowd in the increasingly busy world of e-commerce competition.

While we love any excuse to rave about how skilled we are in our photographic knowledge, jewellery photography is one area where we also need to talk about commercial understanding. Particularly if you have product numbers in the tens or hundreds, we appreciate that you might not have the budget to allow us to spend hours photographing and retouching each piece. Yes – we do spend hours – particularly if an image is going to be used for print advertising, or in large format. But for an online product listing, which might be updated every few months, and might be one of several hundred other jewellery items on the page – balancing the cost with the perfection is just as much a skill.

So don’t be afraid of our quality! We’re not (last sentence aside) pumped up, ego-heavy photographers – we’re hard working folk who will always try to find a solution that fits our clients’ budgets.

You can read more about our techniques and our studio methodology on our blog pages. In particular, the art of focus stacking, and our take on top jewellery retouching are exciting reads, for those in the industry. Otherwise, just enjoy some shiny, shiny pictures….
