Trickier invisible mannequin items include sheer, transparent or translucent materials, fabric with cut out details, or a mixture of all these elements! There are a number of different approaches to photographing these styles, a selection of these are shown here.
Group portraits are always appreciated by companies. It’s the way to personalize your communication and get out sanitized visuals and formatted image banks.
Discuss with leaders or communication managers
Discover the company, its history, its activities and its objectives is the preliminary step to the shooting. This helps to understand the message that the company wants to go through the photo.
I install my studio (lighting and background) within the company. Each person is taken individually. “Head-to-head” with the camera is not an easy exercise. I then try to create a friendly atmosphere, to build trust while discussing the work of the person, his hobbies, his passions. I like to observe how people speak, memorize gestures.
With or without accessories… Imitating movie posters…
Play with logo letters, share an event
All the individual images are cut out, retouched and put together to form the team’s photo.
The advantages of this method of shooting
- we avoid the cliché of the school photo
- no one is hidden, everyone has the same importance
- no unsightly shadow produced by the neighbor, everyone receives the same light
- if a new collaborator joins the team, we can add it (and conversely)
Your opinion counts! Tell me if what you think of this kind of portraits. Thank you.

Have you always been scared of increasing the ISO on your camera in dim light because of the resulting noise in the images? Has this discouraged you from taking pictures in low light?
Fret not. This tutorial will take care of all your ISO noise anxieties and will let you go trigger happy during night shoots.
Noise reduction in Photoshop
- Open the image on which you need to reduce the noise.
- If you see the image panel, you’ll notice that the image will be opened as a background layer. Create a duplicate of the background layer (just in case).
- Having selected the duplicate layer to go to Filter -> Noise -> Reduce Noise. A new window will open up with some sliders in it. Let’s break them down one by one.
- Strength: This slider, affects globally. That means it will eliminate the noise pixels in the overall image.
- Preserve details: Pixels tend to get blurred while reducing noise. The preserve details slider will bring back the texture and other small details in the image. Different combinations of strength and preserve details slider work differently for different images. You will have to experiment to see which combination gives the best quality.
- Reduce Colour noise: This slider will reduce any floating colour pixels due to chromatic aberration.
- Sharpen details: The blurring of noisy pixels may result in reducing the sharpness of the image. Use the sharpen details slider to restore sharpness in the image.
- At the end of all the sliders, you will see a checkbox that says “Remove JPEG artifacts”. This will remove any noise that may occur while saving the image as a JPEG.
- If you want to make noise reduction specific to the RGB colour channel, click on the advanced tab.
- Select the desired colour channel and make the adjustment to the strength and preserve details slider.
- Once you are satisfied with all the changes, hit ok and the edited image will open in Photoshop.
- Unhide the layer on top to reveal the background layer. You will notice that noise has reduced from the original layer to the duplicate layer.
- Save your image and you are done with reducing the noise.
Try more night shots
Now that you know the secret, try more night shots. ISO is a very good feature in digital camera if it only wasn’t for the resulting noise. Hopefully, camera manufacturers will try to come up with ways of minimizing the noise grains at high ISO but until then, this little Photoshop technique should do the trick.
When it comes to digital image processing, there are many different things that can be done. Ideally, in this multimedia world, it is really important to make sure that you offer the most attractive images. Unless otherwise noted, almost all high definition pictures you’ve received on the web have been digitally changed. This brings us to the need of the best image processing services.
Below are some advantages of digital image processing:
Google search algorithm for images: – Google search algorithm has been completely changed. Now Google can read images better and display quality results in their search engine. Google images/photos may be able to find and read and display similar category image results online. So it’s good for digital images processed by a specialist for quality and gets in Google search. Having a digital image can increase accuracy, high speed.
Flexible format: – According to the requirement, the image can be made available in any desired format.
Keywords in online e-commerce: – Digital images provide visual results that you want to show or not. So it directly talks to the people and influences the minds of the people. If we display quality pictures where the user can communicate (shopping) can show interest. If the quality of the image and the representation mark are not there, then the possibility of losing business or customers may be more.
Digital image processing plays a very important role in education: – Through digital image, we move advanced pieces of knowledge into linear algebra, data, possibilities, signal processing, geometry, algorithms, machine learning, data science and software development. Can. For example, the digital image can display any status properly. Due to the loss of revenue for doctors, the medical diagnosis was done more accurately and accurately rather than the old school methods to identify on the basis of visible symptoms.
Digital Image Processing in the Publishing World: – Nowadays every book is available on a digital platform. The demands and needs of the people are changing, therefore the optimized digital book needs today’s generation.
In the business world, every small and big thing is being analyzed. Therefore, you have to do your best to ensure that all images follow the same professional standards. You can offer some of the best image editing services of reality Premedia.
This very simple product shot was in fact very, very, challenging due to the 360 degree reflective surface at the top of the bottle. I tried every trick in the book but could not stop the bottle from picking up some part of the studio, shoot enclosure or my equipment.
I set the product on a translucent white still life table and shot two strobes through the table, from underneath, to create the white background to remove the need for post-processing to keep the costs down. It creates some bleed around the edges but this was deemed acceptable without the expense of post-processing. I then use three softboxes with continuous lamps to light the product.
Recognizing that reflection was going to be problematic I attempted to use a shooting tent (typically, I avoid using shoot tents) but the bottle picked up too much detail from the tent. To solve this problem, I used white foam board, furring strips and duct tape to build a shoot enclosure which was broad and wide and only a few inches taller than the bottles and this did the trick proving a uniform reflective surface on the bottles with no external detail.
Often, what seems like a simple photo shoot can become very complex but where there is a will there is away.

A long, long time ago if you were to look at newspapers, they’d be filled with mostly text and possibly some hand-drawn graphics. Today we live in a digital world of jpegs, pdfs, mp3s, and other media types. Moreover, today’s young people are much more visually-oriented to the point where Instagram– a social media site devoted to photos and videos—is growing as fast as any site on the web. It’s no wonder, then, that social media giant Facebook bought Instagram for $1 billion– they know where the money is.
Product photography is vital to your business today. Photos (and videos) are what sell products online. Rather than reading a long text of words to find out about products, today’s consumers are even more about how something looks, and how it’s photographed could positively or negatively affect their impression of a particular item.
Competition for people’s eyeballs is fierce, so what’s going to make your product stand out from the rest? It’s often all about the quality of the image you feature. The better the pictures are on your e-commerce site, the more likely you are to have visitors browse, check out your products, and hopefully make a purchase.
Whether you’re a small or large retailer, your success will largely depend on how the marketplace (aka people) perceive you. Just like certain people on dating sites get passed over because their photos are blurry, fuzzy, out of focus or not well done, so do products which aren’t photographed in the most visually enticing way. Professional photos will help enhance your brand and leave a favorable first impression. Think of it from a consumer’s point of view – wouldn’t you feel more comfortable purchasing from a website with professionally done photos?
When pictures are taken, smartphone screens should be kept in mind, since that is exactly where most people will be viewing them. We live in a mobile world where people take their tablets and phones everywhere, so it’s important to remember to cater to your audience. When people are browsing on your company’s site, they expect it to be responsive to the device they are using. If they have to continually resize their screen to look at a product picture, it could cause them to leave the site and go to a competitor’s instead.
If you’re trying to sell things to people today, the main way to reach them is via photos on your e-commerce and social media sites. Social media sites like Instagram and Facebook, consume an inordinate amount of people’s time. They’ll notice any visuals that look attractive and stand out from the rest.

Layer masks are one of the most useful tools in Photoshop, allowing the user to apply adjustments to an image selectively. Masking, however, can be one of the most frustrating aspects of post-production, sometimes requiring lots of intricate work. One tool in Photoshop that can make your masking life easier is also one of the most overlooked: Apply Image.
Masking can be incredibly tedious, especially when working with fine detail or areas without hard edges. Using Apply Image on a mask can give you more control over where your adjustments are applied since the source of the mask is the pixel information in the layer you choose to apply.
Apply image allows you to choose a source layer, like the background or even a merged version of the whole image, and apply that image to the layer mask of your choice, using the blending modes or not, in black and white. When using masks, white reveals while black conceals, so having a perfect representation of the layer of your choice on a layer mask can be incredibly helpful in selectively applying adjustments.
Not only can you see the working layer mask in full size by pressing Option/Alt and clicking the layer mask, which gives you incredible detail to work with, but you can make broad adjustments to the layer mask by using a handy little command. Select the layer mask, and press Command+m/Ctrl+m. This will bring up a curves adjustment just for that layer mask only, so you can change the luminosity of specific areas of the mask, like the shadows, mid tones, or highlights to control which areas of your adjustment are revealed and which are concealed by adjusting how much black or white is in that area of the mask.
This technique can be used with any adjustment layer so you can affect the luminosity, hue and saturation, color, exposure, and others with more precision, either on a small scale or globally.
Apply Layer can be particularly handy for color grading and exposure adjustments.
This image below relied on Applied Layer Masks to finesse the skin contrast.
I created a Curves Adjustment Layer, then used Apply Image to bring the gray scale mask to the layer. I used Cmd+m to create a curves adjustment on my layer mask and used that curves adjustment to darken the highlights and the shadows until only the midtones were white. This means that the contrast was only added to the mid tones. If there are areas that can’t be covered by the mask curve, I can always go in with a few quick brush strokes to make up the difference.
To Use Applied Layer Masks
1. Create an Adjustment Layer and Select the Layer Mask
2. Select Image > Apply Image
3. Choose the Layer You Want to Apply to the Mask
4. Choose the Blending Mode
5. Make Adjustments to the Applied Layer Mask
You can use a black or white brush, or a Curves Adjustment directly to the Mask with Cmd/Ctrl+m
The result of using Cmd/Ctrl+m to expose or hide the effect of a Gradient Map Adjustment. Don’t forget that black conceals and white reveals.
Of course, this gradient map is an extreme example, but the visual should help you see how other effects, such as exposure or color adjustments, can be applied and the carefully controlled using the power of Apply Image to an Adjustment Layer Mask. Experiment with different blending modes such as Multiply, and using Inverse in the Apply Image dialogue box, to see how those changes affect your mask and the image as a whole.

Have you seen the writing on images? You know, the little pictures or words that show the photographer’s name? Those are called watermarks. Photographers often watermark their images so that they are properly credited for their work. Here are a few ways to watermark images with Photoshop and Lightroom.
You can create watermarks in Photoshop several different ways. Here are a few of them.
1. Text layer
The first way is to create a text layer. This is great for simple word watermarks. You can then write your name or your photography business’ name. From there, you can adjust the opacity as you see fit. Try adjusting the blending mode to achieve the look you want. To get the © symbol type; option+g on a Mac, or Alt+0169 on a PC.
2. Logo file
If you have a logo you can place it on your image. You want to make sure your logo has a transparent background. Usually, this will be a PNG file, a GIF or even a vector graphic. If you are unsure, check with your logo designer. Use the place option to put your logo on your image. Again, you can adjust your opacity and blending modes to get the desired effect.
2a. Making your logo background transparent if it isn’t already
If you have a logo file that does not have a transparent background then follow these simple steps to create one. First, open your file in Photoshop. Go ahead and unlock this layer (double-click it, then hit Enter).
Next, use the magic wand to select the background. If the background is not a solid color then select your logo image and then invert the selection. Now that your background is selected, simply cut. You can do this with cmd+x (Mac) or ctrl+x on a Windows computer.
Your image should now have a transparent background. Save this file as a.PNG (JPGs cannot hold transparency) and you’re ready to go.
3. Using the brush tool
For an even easier way to watermark, create a brush. This way you do not have to go through these steps each time you want to watermark your images.
To create the brush with the text you’ve written you will need to open a new document in Photoshop. Make sure your document has a transparent background. Type the information you want to have your watermark. Make sure you have it set up exactly like you want it on your images. Once you have your watermark just as you want it you should go to Image > Trim > Transparent Pixels. Next, Edit-Define Brush Preset. Name your brush and you’re ready to go. The same process can be done with your logo file.
You can now use your brush as you would any other brush. The key to having it watermark is to create a layer and select the brush that is your watermark. A simple click will watermark your image. You can adjust the size, opacity, and be blending mode as you like.

Watermarks using Lightroom
Lightroom has an awesome feature built-in that allows you to watermark your images upon export. In order to use this feature, you must first set up your watermark, to do that go to Lightroom>Edit Watermarks.
You can choose an image or text. There are several different settings that allow you to adjust your watermark like you want. Remember, to get the best results you’ll want to use a PNG file with a transparent background. If you don’t, you’ll have a white box around your logo. You’ll need to save and name your watermark.
Now that your watermark is all set up, let’s apply it to your image. Go to Export and Watermarking. There you can choose whatever watermark you have set up. Your image will be exported to the desired location with the watermark chosen.
